Presentation

Presentation of the course :

The aim of this professional degree is to train students in safety management and risk management, so that they can effectively steer safety policies in both the public and private sectors.

This course is based on the acquisition and application of specialist skills in key areas such as regulatory monitoring, law, digital tools and technical expertise.

By the end of their course, graduates will have developed in-depth knowledge of different types of risk, whether natural hazards, fire risks or socio-professional risks. They will also be able to anticipate and respond to threats to public safety. Their training will prepare them to be proactive: they will be able to analyse existing risks and propose appropriate action plans to deal with them.

The courses are taught by a multi-disciplinary teaching team made up of academics, fire officers, lawyers, safety consultants and entrepreneurs from the sector. This diversity enables students to familiarise themselves with the demands of the professional environment and to enrich their course with practical experience.

What's more, graduates are more likely to enter the world of work thanks to the sandwich course structure, which allows them to immerse themselves directly in the world of work.

The courses are divided into different teaching units (TU):

- UE1 : Law (56h) ;
- EU2: Technical expertise (138 hrs) ;
- UE3: Human resources management (70h) ;
- EU4: Administrative and budgetary management (21h) ;
- EU5: Basic general training in English and digital tools (24h) ;
- EU6: Tutored project (39h) ;
- EU7: Work experience (sandwich course 81 hrs / non-alternative course 76 hrs).

Objectives:

- Professionalisation in a European context (LMD) with the priority objective of direct integration into the world of work after graduation,
- To train professionals at executive level in the fields of safety management and risk management.

Target audience :

- Graduates with a 2-year higher education qualification in safety and risk management,
- Employees or jobseekers with professional experience in the field of safety, at bac +2 level in public and private establishments (VAPP procedure),
- This course can also be accessed via the VAE system, subject to an acceptable application.
