The Water Professions vocational degree provides a theoretical and technical grounding in the field of water sciences.
to train senior technicians to meet the needs of private companies and public institutions.

The course focuses on practical experience. Its technical teaching and work-study system enable direct integration into the professional world during and after the course.

Domain: Lifelong Learning

Description : The Lifelong Learning department promotes professional integration and social advancement. It enables employees or jobseekers to resume their studies throughout their lives in order to improve their skills or enhance their professional experience through diploma, certificate or qualification courses, as well as through the Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) or Professional Experience (VAP).

Teaching and laboratory team

The teaching team is made up of around ten teacher-researchers in hydrology-hydrogeology belonging to the UMR EMMAH, and external contributors who are specialists in the fields of irrigation, polluted sites and soils, environmental and hydrology consultancies, joint water management syndicates, etc.

Admission

Admission requirements

Access to the work-linked vocational degree in Water Professions is based on a portfolio of applications and proof of 2 years' experience in the field, as well as a work-linked contract with a public or private organisation:
- From another university with a Bac+2 in SVT, ST, STU or Geology
- Graduates of a BCPST, PC or PSI preparatory course Graduates of a BTSA GEMEAU or BTS Métiers de l'eau (advanced vocational diploma in water management)
- Graduates of a DUT in biological engineering with an environmental engineering option
- Holders of an undergraduate degree in SVT or Geology equivalent to a French licence 2 SVT or STU
- Having access to a work-linked training contract with an external organisation

For non-French-speaking students, a good command of French is required (TCF or TEF level 5, DALF C1).

Accepted students will be tasked with finding a company for their work-study placement, with the support of Avignon University's SFTLV. For these companies, students are strongly advised to have a driving licence.

Enrolment in the HSE Master's programme is not automatic, but is subject to conditions of excellence. It is also advisable to follow Avignon Université's non-rotating STE degree, to have a better chance of getting into the Master's programme.
