The Master 2 "Geomatics and Territorial Project Management" at the Université d'Avignon trains specialists in geomatics applied to territorial dynamics. This course is aimed at students, as well as professionals who are retraining or looking to specialise, and who wish to master the tools of spatial analysis and geographic data management for regional planning and development.

The course combines a solid methodological approach (GIS, databases, spatial modelling) with a detailed understanding of territorial issues. It prepares students for careers in local authorities, consultancies, urban planning agencies and service and consultancy companies.

With a view to opening up to continuing education, three teaching units in this master's programme are offered in the form of "labelled short courses" (FC Label). This system enables people outside the master's programme - in particular professionals already in post - to follow targeted, recognised modules that are immediately applicable in a professional context.

The three short courses on offer are as follows:

Spatial analysis of property markets with R: this module uses statistical and geomatic tools to analyse property dynamics, based on R software.

Relational geographic databases: the aim here is to understand and design geographic databases in the PostgreSQL/PostGIS environment, with particular attention to data architecture and spatial queries.

Network analysis: this unit focuses on methods for analysing geographical networks, applied in particular to mobility, infrastructures and spatial modelling.

These courses are open to anyone with the necessary prerequisites, without the need to register for the full Master's programme. They enable targeted skills to be acquired, validated by a certificate issued by the Université d'Avignon.
