The Diplôme d'Accès aux Études Universitaires (DAEU) is a national diploma equivalent to the Baccalauréat. The DAEU is a national diploma equivalent to the Baccalauréat. It enables students to develop and secure a career path, resume higher education (particularly at university), acquire a diploma enabling them to sit administrative examinations requiring the Baccalauréat or obtain a diploma attesting to their level of general knowledge.
The DAEU is a level 4 national diploma, which confers the same rights as the baccalauréat.
Special features
The D.A.E.U. is designed for people who have interrupted their studies without having the baccalauréat.
This diploma gives people from a wide range of backgrounds the opportunity to obtain a qualification equivalent to the baccalauréat, with a view to acquiring a higher education diploma and/or career development.
The DAEU Scientifique (DAEU B) offers predominantly scientific teaching. It is recommended for studies in science, technology and health.

DAEU B - 288 hours between September and May
Classes are held every Wednesday from 8am to 12.15pm and from 1pm to 7.30pm (depending on the subjects chosen).
Compulsory subjects :
French: 60 hours
Mathematics: 60 hours
You must choose 2 options from these subjects:
Biology: 60 hours
Chemistry: 60 hours
Physics: 60 hours
Teaching is always organised as follows, although there may be changes:
8.00am - 10.00am: Biology
10.15am - 12.15pm: Chemistry
1.15pm - 3.15pm: Mathematics
3.30 pm - 5.15 pm: French
5.30pm - 7.30pm: Physics
Teaching support for core subjects is organised over 12 Saturday mornings, with 24 hours for French and 24 hours for mathematics:
- 4 to 6 Saturday mornings between October and December from 8am to 12pm,
- 4 to 6 Saturday mornings between March and May, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Assessment procedures
Continuous assessment and final examination :
- Continuous assessment is organised in each subject
- A final exam is held over 3 days (2 to 4 hours per subject) in June.
The rating system :
- The final examination mark is the 1st mark taken into consideration for each subject.
- If the mark obtained in the final examination (E.T.) for a subject is less than 10/20, the average mark for the continuous assessment (C.A.) is taken into account. The average is calculated between the final exam mark and the continuous assessment mark with the same coefficient.
- The DAEU is awarded if the average of the marks for the 4 subjects with the same coefficient is greater than or equal to 10/20.
The jury meets at the beginning of July before Parcoursup closes.

- Teachers of every subject,

You must complete the online application form.
Print out your application form and send it to the address indicated on the website, together with all the documents requested. Incomplete applications will not be validated.
Registration
Final enrolment will only be effective once you have signed your training contract and paid the course fees.
You must pre-register using the link provided in the letter you will receive from the DAEU course manager.
You will have to pay the national registration fee of 178 Euros to Avignon Université in addition to the cost of the STLV course. This fee gives you access to the final exam.
