The Diplôme d'Accès aux Études Universitaires (DAEU) is a national diploma equivalent to the Baccalauréat. The DAEU is a national diploma equivalent to the Baccalauréat. It enables students to develop and secure a career path, resume higher education (particularly at university), acquire a diploma enabling them to sit administrative examinations requiring the Baccalauréat or obtain a diploma attesting to their level of general knowledge.

Special features
The D.A.E.U. is designed for people who have interrupted their studies without having the baccalauréat.
Ce diplôme donne la possibilité à des publics d'horizons divers d'obtenir un titre équivalent au baccalauréat et d'entrevoir ainsi l'acquisition d'un diplôme de l'enseignement supérieur et/ou une évolution de carrière.
Le DAEU Scientifique (DAEU B) propose en enseignement à dominante scientifique. Il est conseillé pour suivre ses études dans les domaines Sciences, technologies, santé.
Information
DAEU B - 288 hours between September and May
Classes are held every Wednesday from 8am to 12.15pm and from 1.15pm to 7.45pm (depending on the subjects chosen).
Compulsory subjects :
French: 60 hours
Mathématique : 60 heures
You must choose 2 options from these subjects:
Biologie : 60 heures
Chimie : 60 heures
Physique : 60 heures
Teaching is always organised as follows, although there may be changes:
8h00 - 10h00 : Biologie
10.15am - 12.15pm: Chemistry
1.15pm - 3.15pm: Mathematics
3.30 pm - 5.30 pm: French
17h45 - 19h45 : Physique
Le soutien pédagogique pour les matières fondamentales sont organisés sur 12 samedis matins avec donc 24h pour le français et 24h pour les mathématiques :
- 4 to 6 Saturday mornings between October and December from 8am to 12pm,
- 4 to 6 Saturday matinees between March and May from 8am to 12pm.
Assessment procedures
Continuous assessment and final examination :
- Continuous assessment is organised in each subject
- A final exam is held over 3 days (2 to 4 hours per subject) in June.
The rating system :
- The final examination mark is the 1st mark taken into consideration for each subject.
- If the mark obtained in the final examination (E.T.) for a subject is less than 10/20, the average mark for the continuous assessment (C.A.) is taken into account. The average is calculated between the final exam mark and the continuous assessment mark with the same coefficient.
- The DAEU is awarded if the average of the marks for the 4 subjects with the same coefficient is greater than or equal to 10/20.
The jury meets at the beginning of July before Parcoursup closes.
The jury is made up of :
- The DAEU course leader,
- Teachers of every subject,
In the presence of the training manager

Registration
Final enrolment will only be effective once you have signed your training contract and paid the course fees.
You must pre-register using the link provided in the letter you will receive from the DAEU course manager.
You will have to pay the national registration fee of 175 Euros to Avignon Université in addition to the cost of the STLV course. This fee, together with the registration fee, gives you access to the final exam.
