The Master's in Heritage and Digital Cultures aims to train future heritage conservation managers in the broadest sense of the term: archives, libraries and museums. Faced with current and future developments in these professions, the course includes theoretical teaching, work placements and courses devoted to digital tools, collection, conservation and, more generally, the preservation of digital documents and data.

Presentation of the course : The Heritage and Digital Cultures master's degree offers training in heritage professions, backed up by courses dedicated to the digital humanities and the classical humanities.
The programme trains graduates to deal with current and future developments in the heritage sector. The curriculum alternates between general courses in heritage history, specialised courses taught by professionals and specialists, and sessions devoted to digital tools and documents.
The first semester of M1 enables students to acquire the fundamental skills and knowledge in the three specialisations of the course (archives, libraries, museums), as well as the general knowledge essential for successful professional integration or passing the civil service entrance examinations.

The second semester of M1 focuses on an introduction to digital humanities in the world of heritage and on building on the professional skills acquired in semester 1. These courses are supplemented by at least one work placement (lasting at least one and a half months), which plays an essential role in the course, providing an initial immersion in the professional world.
