The opening of the "Geographic relational database" training course is a response to several factors
socio-economic issues :
? Urbanisation and territorial dynamics: metropolisation, territorial fractures, regulation
of the market.
? Property pressure: rent controls, investment strategies, social housing.
? Explosion of geographical data: Open Data, GIS, spatial modelling with R.
? Evolving professions: expertise in spatial analysis required by local authorities and developers,
town planners.
? Spatial planning and foresight: impact of teleworking, ecological transition,
urban resilience.
Target audience:
This course is aimed at study managers, professionals or researchers dealing with
real estate issues or who want to learn about spatial analysis with R.

Presentation of the relational model and conceptual modelling
Day 2 :
Declaration of a database structure (data

Querying data in a relational database (data manipulation language)

The course is organised over 6 x 3-hour sessions starting in September.

- Loading different data formats
- Carrying out geomatics operations with Post GLS
